Safety and self-protection
In this section, practical measures and recommendations are proposed for the development of sporting events with the aim of guaranteeing safety and prevention conditions, in accordance with the necessary context and with the regulations in force at any given time.
The guidelines you will find there are a guide that must be adjusted and adapted to the needs of each organisation, always in accordance with the instructions given by the competent authorities in matters of safety and prevention.
Therefore, it is necessary for the organisers to develop a design and production of sports activities and events focused on reducing all kinds of risks between the players, the public, the volunteers and the organisers.
We suggest you work with the "Guide for the preparation of a basic safety and self-protection study (EBSAU)", with which it is possible to draw up a plan that helps us take into account all the related aspects and that contributes to providing a safe area for conducting the event. This document has been created in collaboration between David Tisaire and the technical staff of the Sports Activities Office of the Sports Services Management of the Barcelona Provincial Council.
COVID-19
The sports sector has been quite affected, like many others, by the outbreak of COVID-19. For this reason, we must adapt to the new situation, work to guarantee maximum health security, and adopt the necessary preventive and organisational measures to prevent the risk and contagion of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in sporting events or activities that we organise The Safe Sports Events Manual sets out practical measures and recommendations for the development of sporting events in order to guarantee safety and prevention conditions in accordance with the current context.
This manual has had the input of several experts in the organisation of sporting events, both from different municipalities in the province of Barcelona and from companies and entities linked to the sector, who have participated in different working groups organised by the Sports Activities Office.
